Abstract:
      A numerical simulation of aerodynamic characteristics of 200km/h EMUs is given, using The Computational Fluids Dynamics Software called CFX. In order to solve aerodynamic problems of the shape of the trains, three scenarios are put forward to improve the head shape through numerical calculation and analysis. The computational results shows that the third scenario is the best one, because of its aerodynamic characteristics being better than those of the unimproved model.
