Abstract:
      This note is concerned with the problem of studying the stability of one-step Newmark's predictor-corrector algorithm which is used in the analysis of dynamical responses of coupled systems. The Schur-Cohn's stability criterion for difference equation is employed to prove the necessary and sufficient condition for the unconditionally stability of the algorithm.
